A masterpiece.
Simply amazing performance by Adrien Brody who could have taken the whole task of the movie by himself. He most certainly is Oscar worthy.
I also loved Felicity Jones as Erszebet, his wife. A powerful and moving performance in which she perfectly portrays a Shoa survivor with her emotional and physical scars, and, the coldness and sometimes harshness of Eastern Europeans.
The subtle subliminal messages in the cinematography and photography are both beautiful and daunting. And above all the horrendous reality of โthe Jewโ being โtoleratedโ as a collective, but still being โthose peopleโ in the eyes of the world hits too close to home nowadays.
Once again, a powerful masterpiece.
