I now know why Dave has used a dog in one of the videos, because like Roger Waters horrendous abortion of DSOTM with reference to "old dog new tricks", this album should have been euthanized too! With the exception of Romany's beautiful "Between Two Points", the entire album is dire! The lyrics are like when a band or artist starts in music, feebly fumbling through pretentious, meaningless groups of words, hoping they make sense. And every guitar lick is the same,,,sharp stop wah wah, followed by hold on to that note,,,,,,,,and rest! And the solemn nature on every track,i actually thought i was being drowned in sorrowful elevator music,,,god it made Leonard Cohens music sound like a rave! The only respite from suicide being at 5 min 45 sec on "Scattered", where a guitar solo stopped me weeping! Sorry Dave but this is a wrist slitting, won't have this in the car again, cd used as coffee cup coaster.
