I watched the films and played the games. However I'm not a die hard fan but I really enjoy this series. The acting is very good and the plot is very good too. Despite a load of people not liking it and apparently it being cancelled after the first season I really hope they make a series 2 as it's much better than some people are saying. I highly recommend this series.
