Don't waste your time. As a true crime enthusiast and fan of Ryan Murphys other work such as AHS & Dahmer I was very excited to see how this one turned out. Can I please have my 8 hours back? Creative licence has been overused on this whole thing, from skipping chunnks of Ed Gein's story to completely sullying an actual victims good name (Bernice) She never had sex with Ed at all. I've watched a lot of Murphy's shows and know they are a lot of the time unnecessarily sexual, this however, just seemed like it was being forced own our throats because he can, like playing out fetishes. The sexual preference of the Norman Bates actor wasn't needed, a pointless addition. I'm assuming millions were spent on this production, did the budget run out when it came to Alfred Hitchcocks prosthetics? Abysmal. Charlie was great playing Ed, but what was that voice? Like a mixture of Jonny Depp's Wonka and Old Gregg. Adelone was pointless and another fabrication. If you know absolutely nothing about Ed Gein jump in with both feet. If you enjoy true crime and mystery, dont waste your time.
