Loved Jackie, but that's about it. Alex was boring, predictable, insecure, and somehow got Jackie. Cole was manipulative, a player, and let one trauma in his life allow him to destroy many family memories. Whereas Jackie tried to fix everyone even with her entire family dying. And we are supposed to root for Cole?? Just because he hurt his leg and can't be football star? meh. Honestly don't like either of the love interests. The couple I'm rooting for is Ashley (Cole's ex) and the Walter brother who's into theater (who's name I can't remember right now). Their relationship is honestly pretty sweet!

I think the 1 star reviews are men who are mad that this movie was about feminism and not about hot plastic women laughing on the beach. I was surprised too, as were my guy friends, but we were all pleasantly surprised. Good movie. Cried a bit.
