Coming Home in the Dark

I have read the book and watched both movies. This was refreshingly different with great depth and characters. I kept waiting for the Rubik’s cube to come out but it never happened! The only lines were when Eleanor said she was 12 and had been for a very long time. And also the way she dealt with the boys bullying. The boy plays a great role and my heart went out to him at the end. So I recommend this show i think you will like it.

I have read ( I think) everything Stephen King as written, I enjoyed this book, but don’t think it’s up there with his best. For me, his best work was the Dark Tower series ( I thought the ending was perfect but I know a lot of people would disagree!)and some of his short stories are absolutely brilliant, 1922 and the fireworks one at the lake spring to mind. This one has good character development but I found the bonds developed among his neighbours a little sugary. Does that really happen? But overall it’s a good read and the ending is satisfying.
