Ummm what!? How does this book have rave reviews!?? I really enjoyed The Housemaid and The Housemaid’s Secret so I thought I would try this one. Let me preface this review by saying I am an audiobook listener—so that sometimes makes or breaks a book. The narrators did a decent job but made the characters seem really dumb and juvenile to me. I thought the opening chapter was intriguing, but after that I found myself having to “force” myself to listen. There is a pretty good twist towards the end, but it’s so freaking unrealistic that I found myself rolling my eyes SO HARD. Also, why the fuhhhh does Sydney toss the envelope at the end!? That was the dumbest ending of all time. Yeah. Not a fan of this one at all. I do not get the hype!!! Overall it was not a very interesting story, and the characters were all annoying. Maybe teens would like this one, but too cheesy and far-fetched for me.
