Sheila Walters

Because of reading reviews by reviewers I trust, I knew this would be a good movie, but it's much more than that. In my opinion, Anatomy of a Fall is a great movie. I wish I could write a review worthy of the film, but I can't. Trust the excellent reviews.

I didn't read the book so I don't know whether or not it's as one-dimensional as this movie is. I'd heard this was romantic but it wasn't (and it's definitely not erotic!) The characters are bland. Everyone lacks personality, including the time traveler, who's especially shallow and uninteresting. And it would have been much less creepy if he'd been a kid too (instead of an adult) when he and Claire met and developed their affinity for each other. There must have been some reason the writer chose their wedding night for a time trip spent with his wife as a child, before he returns to his bride after she's fallen asleep - was it meant to be charming or something?
