I really wanted to give The Vampire Diaries a 5* rating and had it just been series 1 - 6 that's what it would have got. Sadly the powers that be decided to continue on with 7 and 8. Bad, bad decision. Such a complete waste of time. Flash backs, flash forward, it was all over the place. I couldn't have been more disappointed. If anyone is thinking of watching it then a bit of advice. Watch 1 - 6 then skip right through to the final episode of S8. On the plus side, Ian Somerhalder is too gorgeous for words.

I'm hooked on this series. Have binge watched series 1 - 4 all episodes in a week! I've laughed and cried and now need to find the first part of series 5.
