I came in to this movie thinking it was gonna be so bad and a flip just like Morbius and Madame Web. But I guess you shouldnโt judge a book by its cover. Even though the trailer and marketing made it seem like it wasnโt going to be a good movie, I LOVED it. The CGI for the rhino was really bad, and rhino was a pretty cringy main villain. Most of the movie was an origin story and it took a while until the actual plot came. I feel like they tried to turn this girl named Calypso into a love interest for Sergei(Kraven), but it didnโt work out well. But overall the story was great, Aaron Taylor Johnson was born to play Kraven. The casting for this movie was on point. I loved how they brought Dmitri(Chameleon) on live action and set up the possibility of an encounter meant with either chameleon or Kraven. This is one of the movies where almost everything about is bad, but for some reason you still love the movie. And the ending scene really did got me feeling like Kraven. The way this movie was executed was pretty bad, but somehow this turned into a movie me and my friends loved, laughed about and it became the main conversation starter for weeks. While this is a Rated R movie, I didnโt find the mild use of profanity and the couple bloody scenes the movie had disturbing. I recommended this movie to everyone I know and will rewatch this, and would honestly pay to watch this in the theaters if I ever got the chance to. If you love action movies with a weird villain, plot, and random characters added for no reason that takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions, changes the way you think about life and adds a character to you โhear me out listโ. Then Kraven The Hunter is definitely worth spending two hours of your life watching. This movie overall was really fun and just a great movie in general and appealed to me and my friends.
