Who was this movie targeted to reach? Definitely not anyone under 40 years old. It's filled with pop culture references (mainly from the 80s) that kids today would need Google to find out what they all mean. Seriously! At one point a character starts chanting during the big battle scene. She's saying the Spell of Making used by Merlin in the movie "Excalibur" (1981). That's an 80s reference that's obscure for even people over 50yo.
