Unlike other reviewers here, I really liked the 1st episode, as a kind of horror/ thriller with very black comedy edging. Its not a sober assessment of the Magdalene Laundry evil but nevertheless shows the intensity of that torture.
I was also mesmerised by Ruth Wilsons performance
