Midnight Kun

The show Bet is clearly inspired by Kakegurui, but it was never officially stated to be a live-action adaptation. While it borrows the core concept of gambling in an elite school setting, it has its own original storyline, characters, and tone. The creators never claimed it was a direct adaptation, and it doesn’t follow the same plot or character arcs from the anime or manga. It’s better understood as a reimagining influenced by Kakegurui, not a faithful remake. Judging it as an adaptation creates unfair expectations. Taken for what it is, Bet is actually a really entertaining show with great performances and its own unique style.
