Absolutely TERRIBLE. Poor acting and the WORST writing ever. There is no regard for authenticity at all. How is it that these 4 girls, who would be at work, could just get up and leave their stations at any moment without regard for incoming calls. Or how about the 1936 MG TC that appears in 1929. Or the girl who tried to campaign for homosexual rights. While that is an issue pertinent to TODAY, in 1930's Spain that sort of talk would get you imprisoned or just plain shot. IT WOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED! Or how, once the Spanish civil war starts it's still life as usual. Still partying and carrying on like there is no war. Or running off to the front to save a friend as if there is no danger at all. "Oh, its' ok. They've shot all their bullets and are now hungry. So they have probably all gone home for lunch. We can just go there, no problem." WEAK plot, holes everywhere, and the pathetic writing of the narration that is so full of worn out cliches it's sickening. How about the guy in New York in 1938/9 that says "I'll take the next flight out." WRONG! Commercial passenger flights across the Atlantic were rare in 1939 and went thru a Northern route thru Iceland/Greenland and England. Even IF you could get a flight it took days to get to England and there is NO WAY you could get a flight into a WAR ZONE like Spain. What a freeking JOKE of a move. But my wife loves it. OOPS. She just watched her last episode last night. She said "I can't watch this anymore. It's getting STUPID." I said "Getting stupid. It's Been stupid for a while."
