Started Strong, Ended Weak:
"Before" really hooked me at first. The mystery was gripping, the characters were interesting, and I was constantly wondering what would happen next. The writers did a great job keeping me guessing with all the twists and turns.
But the final episodes were a complete disappointment. It felt like they just threw everything together at the last minute. The carefully constructed storylines failed to connect, leaving more questions than answers - who are the three kids in the final episode? How are they and the cabin connected to Noah, Eli and Lynn? Why does Eli get to go home rather than face charges for kidnapping Noah? The ending felt rushed and anticlimactic, with many plot threads left unresolved and dangling. The lack of a cohesive conclusion undermined the suspenseful impact of the earlier episodes.
Even though the ending was very disappointing, the early episodes and the acting was excellent, particularly Jacobi Jupe who played Noah.
