This movie disappointed me. I had really high hopes for this movie. Everyone hypes it up so I thought it'd be really good, but honestly, I couldn't wait for it to end. The acting was good, but the characters felt like they were written by a sleep deprived 13 year old who's read one too many wattpad stories.
[Spoilers ahead]
The killer was, in my opinion, the worst I've ever seen. He didn't think anything through. I mean really? You're going to try to kill them while you're all in a police station? Absolute idiot. And you just proved to three people that you're trying to kill them and that you hurt the girl in the alleyway. The actors did a good job at their parts but I just don't understand a lot of the choices made for this movie. This movie felt poorly written and I wish that I could say more good things about it, but if I did, I'd be lying. I saw a lot of people comparing Midnight to Strangers from hell and that's actually what made me watch it. That and the killers actor is in a few other of my favorite movies/shows. But I don't think this can even begin to compare to SFH. The potential for this movie is there, but it unfortunately wasn't given justice. I wish I could appreciate this movie more, especially given how many people absolutely love it, but I can't bring myself to look past all of the things that were poorly done.
