Margolis and Buskin braved a mammoth task – to sieve through the evidence and testimonies of a case which took place over 50 years ago, a case that is full of false and contracting testimonies, lies, cover-ups and misunderstandings. No stone was left un-turned. If the American justice system betrayed the memory of beloved Marilyn Monroe , at least people like Margolis and other researches help to clear her name from the stigma of “probable suicide”. I found myself with some questions and doubts still open, but for the most part I applaud the authors diligence. I am filled with rage and sadness thinking about MM’s last moments and the horror she felt being brutalized at the own home and am equality disgusted that it was so convenient to power people to dismiss her death as suicide in order to protect their interest. The book was fascinating and the authors covered the evidence and testimonies from some many different angles. Respect to them. Justice for Marilyn.

I enjoyed it very much. Sad in many parts of course as Marilyn's life had many downs, but also highly respectful of her and her personality. I don't know how to tell if he was indeed her friend to the very end, with whom she shared her thoughts and secrets. I am sure many would doubt that. Anyway, I appreciated the respect he showed for her, the appreciation for her qualities, character and uniqueness. p.s. the book seem to give the wrong date for Conover's first photos of Marilyn - June 1945, when there is a letter from Norma Jeane to Aunt Ana from late 1944 about it.

This has to be one of the most sensitive and saddest books I have ever read. And it ends so abruptly, just like her own life. I was in tears reading parts of the book and heart-broken to read about her self-doubts and how she resented the image of her the world adored. All she wanted was to be the best actress she could.
