Proof that you can't trust critic reviews. Utter garbage. It's "The Happening" but with tech instead of plants. There were a few strands of valuable story potential but the entire thing was so poorly written that it made me laugh out loud multiple times. The characters are pretty unlikable, and for some reason, the music never seems to fit the scene in a way that's just so jarring for the viewer (and they really eff you with it at the end). I think it was supposed to be representing our current struggles and serving as a meditation on our erroneous ways but it really does nothing to educate or illuminate the viewer and pays little attention to it's own point. The scene near the end of this thriller where the tension peaks actually made me laugh out loud because it was just that bad. Those deer blankly staring are going to pop up in my mind like a meme for years to come. So tired of studios wasting so much money on garbage like this.
