I can only assume that the many 1 star reviews here are a result of the polarised political climate at the moment, because I can't think of another reason someone could watch this and in good faith consider it a 1 star film - considering how good the dialogue, cinematography, acting performances and score were.
If you are politically conservative but can put that aside and just experience this for what it is - an entertaining, funny, action-packed and at times tense cinematic experience, it's a great film and easily the best of the year so far for me.
At almost 3 hours it's similar to Casino, Magnolia or Wolf of Wall Street in that the pacing is so good and each scene is so entertaining that you don't feel the runtime at all. Many 2 hour films feel longer than One Battle After Another.
This is a great watch and is worth seeing a Dolby or IMAX screening.
