Good read. ๐ The beginning admittedly can be a little tough to get through, and the middle could be paced a little better but overall a really fun story.
H. G. Wells competently tells a story about humanity and ethics, and what can happen at their outer limits and when estranged from society. The Main Character isn't going to blow you away as an especially compelling character, but The Supporting Cast are interesting to follow. It's a cool scenario told well and near the end is an engaging thriller to follow.
There are themes of how perhaps the Beast Folk aren't so different from humans, and also, how there is a reason man is man, and beast is beast. It accomplishes a decent amount in little time. If you're a fan of shorter reads, interesting concepts, or horror, this is worth your time.
