I have been a Call of Duty player for 10 years now. I buy each game, and it is the only game that I play anymore. Each year I transition for one release to the next. I often find myself disappointed and frustrated as I learn new techniques, weapons, and levels. This game is different. Usually as I learn to adjust, the online enemies get simpler. I manage to figure out the spawns, running paths, weapons, and angles. The games are clean enough, that I understand why I die, or why I get killed. Vanguard is the exact opposite. They continuously make a bad game worse. They have maps where the winner gets decided before you spawn, based on your spawn point. The lobbies themselves aren’t stable enough to hold a party. The spawns on multiple maps are so bad that you will spawn in front of a member of the opposing team multiple times, and immediately die from it. The maps are not conceived to be fast paced, but instead extremely accessible for “campers” which is one of the biggest complaints among COD users. They have moved onto caring about selling skins for characters, rather than the competitive nature of the game. Vanguard will sure enough be the beginning of the end of COD. It was a good run though.
