The grandmother understands English but never speaks it until season 4 while Rafael understands Spanish but never speaks it at all. Jane cries all the time. The mom is over 40 but continues to dress like she's in her 20's. Her and Jane are more like sisters than mother and daughter. Then I get that the Villanueva family is close, but they are all in each other's business. Jane wants to know everyone's business. Family members are allowed to have privacy. No one has anything to themselves. Then when they all text each other, they all use complete sentences even Jane and the series started with her at 23. What 23 y.o. does that? Then as a person who has been around Hispanic families since Ive been born, I've never seen a Hispanic family that didn't set ground rules for their kids. Mateo does and says whatever he wants. How come Jane always gets her way? Why did Michael have to die, then to come back with amnesia (can we say, a real telenovela).Why was Michael and his family obviously white but had Hispanic last name and also couldn't speak Spanish? Also Jane and XO never speak Spanish, but Jane on many occasions says mi abuela. If the grandmother speaks only Spanish, those 2 should also speak some Spanish. Some things come off as corny but overall it's still a pretty good show.

I didn't too much care for it. It seemed and looked as if it were the 1st Godzilla movie ever made...looked low budget. A lot of things that happened in the movie were not realistic. It was literally my least favorite one.
