This movie is a hit at so many levels. As a send up of action film game franchises with mayhem and thin plots it is delicious. As a meta narrative on the game industry and their superficial aspirations to squeeze profits from adolescents of all ages it is spot on. As a rom com it was an unexpected delight. It managed to cast allusions to Barbie and other commentaries on modern life. And the endless cameos all hit home runs. The easter eggs are hidden all over in the background. And Reynolds, Comer and Tatum all gave it their all. I challenge you not to enjoy this film at some level.
