Re-reading Catcher in the Rye, I find it as moving and as carefully structured as I did so many years ago.
Holden,s journey from his last weekend in the school to his final arrival at home with Phoebe, is told with a sense of solid honesty alternating with anger that hides the pain and hurt he feels and which strike me as so desperate.
Remains a forceful and evocative novel unlike some others that have lost some shine over the years.
