All things considered I wouldn’t classify it as terrible, or great; it’s just plain ok. The disappointing part is it could be a whole lot better, the elements are there; but the biggest issue I have with it, is it suffers from bad writing. The VFX are pretty good, and the acting for the most part has been pretty good. I’m not really on board with the ship changes and the changes to some of the races, but I understand why some of them are necessary (Viacom / cbs split back in 2005). All this could be forugiven too, if the writing were better.
