Ryan Drilling

One of the best in the franchise. It’s compelling the whole way through. Tony Todd’s character gets more development. And I loved how they tie everything together at the end. If you’re a fan of the franchise you’ll have a good time!

It has some interesting visuals but unfortunately the movie just fell flat for me. The film wasn’t able to build any sort of meaningful momentum. Any suspense would be immediately broken up by 10 minutes of redundant dialogue and this would continue back and forth throughout the whole movie. The movie wasn’t scary. There was no climax. I felt like the audience didn’t get to see enough of Count Orlok or what he is physically capable of. Lily-Rose Depp did a great job, although her performance wasn’t enough to save the film from being boring and drawn out.

If you’re a fan of the other two movies, you’ll enjoy this one. The pace of this installment was much better than the two previous films and didn’t ever feel like it was dragging on. Damien also did a great job of several answering questions that were brought up from Terrifier 2 without giving it all away and still indulging in the mystique of Art’s lore. Art is at his best in this film, he is brutal while still hilarious as ever. I have high hopes for the fourth installment as each film continuously grows and improves on its flaws.
