A brilliantly costumed, acted, photographed, and edited failure of a movie. I'm sorry, it tried so very hard to be about something more than exploiting the old tropes of the horrors of slavery, revisited without having anything truly new to say, and to say it ineffectively DRAGGING at the slowest pace imaginable. Sorry, I love the cast, I so WANTED this to blow my mind. I gave up at the one hour mark.

Sheer cacas. Awful script. Tedious. Pitt has never been my cup of tea. Never understood the furor over either of them. Mr and Mrs Smith was great. But full stop. Chemistry? No wonder they split.
