Definitely a good debut album specifically from an artist that came from K-pop realm where having almost 100% creative input is impossible.
Stellar production. Some of the songs have quite repetitive structure which isn't favorable but the good production elevates them all. Ruby is uniquely Jennie, quite a lot of genre-bending here but still maintaining the cohesive feeling and sound. Track sequencing could be better but it's actually good compared to a lot of artists these days.
Lyrically, quite on surface level but it's on good trajectory. It's not intentional, but it's a reflection from her current state of songwriting skill but she'll be good. Enuncation... this is her main issue, if she improves her enunciation, she will go big than she already is
Overall, a solid debut album. Is it up there yet? not really, but to think about it, this album is like a car doing up the slope. She's on good trajectory. All she have to do is maintain and improve the art and musical direction, and explore more and more themes while also being distinctively and uniquely her
