Initially I did enjoy Shiver. I thought the writing was okay, the storyline had me moderately hooked and had me wondering what was gonna happen next. But the ending was too predictable and the FMC was pretty unlikable. Sometimes the bits about snowboarding were a bit of a slog to get through and at times just felt like filler to lengthen the book. And lot of the actions of the characters felt silly or unrealistic. It definitely reads like a YA. But overall I really enjoyed the atmosphere and that’s enough for me to give the author another go.
