The book was a 10, but the movie was so disappointing. My husband didn't read it and had to ask me what was going on at least 3 times because it just was so hard to follow. They had to make it make sense without all of the details of the book, and it missed the mark terribly. The domestic violence in the movie was downplayed and it almost made it feel less serious of a matter than it truly is. Colleen Hoover wrote a book that made you feel every emotion and cry with and for Lily every page, but the movie fell flat and emotionless.
