Although “Anora” is much too close to pornography for my taste, any movie that has me contemplating the characters for several days deserves a decent star rating. There was no comedy in this movie. It was a mockery of irresponsible, filthy-rich youths; and it was a heartbreaking representation of a profoundly unhappy young woman. The addition of a surprisingly compassionate hired enforcer deepens the emotional component and emphasizes the young woman’s profound unhappiness.
