I have consciously decided not to read anything else by this sanctimonious blowhard. If we have no free will, why does he keep publishing books and spouting his reactionary opinions on YouTube? Because he chose to be a sell-out, half-a$$ed philosopher without a single new idea in his head. No wonder so many so-called "neuroscientists" don't believe in free will: It's because they chose not to have any and have never come up with a single new idea between them.

Well-written, but after reading the whole series for a second time, I'm really tired of all of the main characters making incredibly stupid decisions to drive the plot forward. It's like playing Dungeons & Dragons with someone who intentionally screws things up just to annoy their companions. Tad Williams probably could have finished the book in three to four hundred fewer pages if his characters weren't complete idiots. I've heard George R.R. Martin was heavily influenced by this series. Makes sense.
