I’m 46 years old and don’t even play video games, though I am a casual car enthusiast. I went to watch the film with my girlfriend and we both really enjoyed the movie. No annoying political or social messages anywhere to be seen. Just a feel good underdog story about a kid with a gift and the unlikely string of events that helped him realize his potential. I liked the relationship between Jan and his father. I thought both actors were great and believable. Just a really fun movie with fast cars and a story that moved along. Last but not least I loved seeing Emelia Hartford given a small role. I’ve been a fan of hers for many years. Her YouTube channel got me into cars and modding them and ultimately influenced the purchase of my WRX.
