I have watched all 69 episodes twice. One of the best dramas I have watched to date - just so real and down to earth. The people suddenly are not just famous names from the history stories, but real people with their multifaceted personalities and characters, each shaped by their passions and beliefs and background. This drama also managed to incorporate the richness of daily life, the culture, the bustling city, the political and philosophical thoughts of that era. Visually, it is also beautiful. This is a drama that can be kept as a national treasure, aiding the understanding of an outstanding period of time in Chinese history.
