I was first introduced to regency romance in the mid/late 70s. I had been reading a Georgette Heyer when one of my co -workers asked if I had read her Regency romances. I was hooked from there I went to Clare Darcy and have had a staple diet of such since,
I have been concerned that in the past years such books have become very bland and bordering on 'soft porn' ......... What a delight it was to read Ms Balogh's "Someone to Honour'.... (even if someone had spelt honour incorrectly.)
Ms Balogh manages to return to the skilful word pictures of my early years of such book. It is well constructed - with believable characters.
I am about to order more of this author's excellent work ....... if I can work out how to oder the paperback as opposed to Ebooks..... With thanks John Thornton
