Gamefreak's resurrection. The game has its flaws, but gameplay-wise is the best thing that could've happened to Gamefreak and has the chance to be a historic moment for a 1989 founded company that seemed to be living in the past. The music is balanced, with many quiet and relaxing tracks as well as energizing and inspiring ones. Without spoilers, I can tell you that the best battle ever in Pokemon's history happens in this game.
