Bradley Cooper was fantastic, as were the rest of the cast. I found the story, writing, and direction to be much less so. For a character piece about such a brilliant and talented man, it lacked insight and authenticity and became too melodramatic as it progressed.

This was an incredibly touching and very well acted movie that takes the watcher through the total grief process. The slight flaws in the screenwriting did nothing to take away the tremendous power of this movie and the beautiful ending. Watch through the credits to take it all in.
