Many of the dramas I’ve seen center around the stories of unbelievably beautiful young adults, and sideline the stories and performances of mature actors. This drama is top notch in centering the mature actors who are so incredibly adept at their art. In a world of ageism and the worship of youth and beauty, this is an unusual and refreshing story and cast. The writing is really excellent, and the pacing is consistent and perfect. Many important topics in life that are not as “sexy” as the common (stero)typical tropes of young romance or youthful striving for success, are covered with a sensitivity and rawness that rings true and is deeply affecting, no matter your age. Do take the time to dive into this fine drama!
