In my opinion it hardly feels like a proper hellraiser film. Most of the films focus is largely on this detective case which in all honesty wasn't terrible. But Pinhead and the cenebites were really hardly in the film at all. They essentially had some "hell house" that seemed a very odd choice, it didn't really feel like hellraiser to me, it was just weird. I had hopes at the start where the iconic puzzle box is mentioned as being outdated and I had hoped there would be some modern solution with the use of some new technology but there really wasn't. So I'm kind of dissatisfied as a fan of the series the newer films are definitely no where close to the originals.
