This story was full of emotion, drama,action ,suspense ,kink and love. Clay was an alpha male devoted to his family. Fawn (my only complaint with the aurhor is this name, after Cassidy and Shoshanna "fawn"seemed funny) comes unexpectedly in his life and slowly makes her way in his heart. In the beginning he only had revenge in his mind bur love always happen unexpectedly. Fawn was a true survivor and grows throughout the story. We get more of Xander and small cameos by other Butcher boys. Clay and Fawn have a huge age gap which was justified by the author. Both reprsented different things in life. Clay came from a famous family and had led a privileged life whereas Fawn was an orphan who had nothing. It was heartwarming to see How Clay comes to care for her. A fast paced page turner story which kept me wanting more. The chemistry between the leads was offcharts. Can't wait to read the next book .

Having read all the books by the author,I can say lots of timelines merge in thus story. Gio,Viking and Baron's stories and the role Krisoff and Katya play in their stories become clearer. But I wanted more of kristoff and Katya.i felt their interaction was less. Also I had already read all the action in other books.i was eagerly awaiting this book though not disappointed I m neither too happy. The leads had explosive chemistry . For better understanding its advisable to read love is rage and love is game as well. Also I something wrong with kristoff's age. He should be around 37 but is written to be 10yr older than Katya. Waiting for the next book in this duet

Trope : second chance,revenge,heroine transition Honora was a very strong character who came into her own in the story.she endures much heartbreak and pain.she becomes all the more strong because of her troubled circumstances. Gideon was difficult to understand, though he was likeable but he does to Honora I the beginning of the story felt a little out of character. Nevertheless, the moments in which the main protagonists fall in love were good. The steam level could have been higher . Altogether a solid fast paced story.
