Thomas Smith – Google

I consider my self a fan of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. But this show is not good. I don’t know who is giving this good reviews. It seems very niche for people involved in Hollywood. The cast is great and Rogen has all his friends drop by for an episode here and there. But I do not care about a single person on this show. The shaky camera with the continuous shot was good for the episode about a failed single shot, but why use it for every episode. The chaotic nature of the show with the jazz beats behind it, and everyone yelling at each other all the time is just annoying. I got 6 episodes in and don’t think I can finish it. Please make another season of Platonic instead of anymore episodes of this.

I have mad respect for Ridley Scott. I grew up on his movies and the ones from the 70s-00s are some of my all time. But he has lost touch with what the audience wants. This was garbage. It made little to no sense. It was all spectacle with no pacing to make it feel earned. The performances were fine, though you cannot convince me that the lead. Paul Mescal and Aaron Taylor Johnson are not the same person. If you want mindless brutality with a lot of story that doesn’t make you invested in a movie at all this is your film. After watching this, Napoleon and the Last Duel. I think I am done with New Ridley Scott films. Have the grace to bow out like John Carpenter did.

Gladiator II

Couldn’t make it through 2 episodes, Lisa Kudrow is just as annoying as she was in friends. I don’t get her humor. Taika Waititi and Jermaine Clement are doing their usual thing of just being weird and hoping it is funny instead of actually trying to be funny. Our Flag Means Death was original and brilliant. Should have focused on trying to get a 3rd season of that instead of trying and failing to make a better adaptation than a 5 star classic movie.
