I see a bit of House when the max ask for sx, George Clooney ish with Max and Capt regarding doing things that is best but not always following the rules, shades of MASH with the strip poker scenes, Avery has to follow in the no nonsense nurses from Dixie in emergency, Carol Hathaway and McMurphy in China Beach. They need to put the newer chef Vivian, 1st officer, and engineer Rosie involved. Dr. Odyssey to thrive needs an ensemble cast with the principles taking the lead. ER did it, Grey's Anatomy still does. Ryan Murphy needs to change it so Dr. Odyssey will sail in for a long time.
