A thought-provoking narrative reaching more deeply than perhaps intended by its creators. The progenesis of our species deriving from the darkest parts of our universe harkens to the darkest aspects within us all, and what will be viewed by most as an attempt to destroy our species is nothing more than an upgrade ushering in the age of homosapiens sapiens sapiens 2.0, a version of human where our pleasing and non-threatening facades are stripped away revealing the monster within. The engineers aren't seeking to punish us, but to rectify their mistake of unleashing a wolf in sheep's clothing upon the universe, knowing a wolf in sheep's clothing is far more dangerous than the wolf clearly visible. It is a day of reckoning only in the sense that our freedom to wreak havoc before being discovered for who we truly are is eliminated with the upgrade, forcing us to grow and evolve as a species if we are to avoid destroying ourselves and everything we touch.
