Chapter 1 of the Book of Boba Fett, in my opinion, is a great and expected setup for the rest of the season. The action scenes are slightly clumsier than in the Mandalorian Season 2 due to Boba Fett still recovering from his injuries from the Sarlacc Pit. Fennec Shand's character is a little plain for me, at least for now, compared to her in the Bad Batch. There is an interesting chemistry between Boba and Fennec. Although they have their differences on how to rule the Tatooine underworld, they are a great team. I enjoyed the flashbacks which paralleled the current story. The cinematography/acting/set/aesthetic is beautiful. Overall rating for Chapter 1: 3.5/5 stars.
If you didn't like Chapter 1, give Chapter 2 a try. Chapter 2 of the Book of Boba Fett was awesome, true Star Wars. I especially enjoyed this episode's flashbacks, considerably more powerful than in Chapter 1. The train action scene was thrilling. The Tuskens learning how to use the speeders was funny. Again, the cinematography/acting/set/aesthetic was great. The flashbacks to Kamino were fitting and the themes explored in this episode of Boba gaining respect from the Tuskens and in the underworld. Temuera Morrison really embraces his character and makes it his own. The rituals of the Tuskens, drawing inspiration from Native American tradition, made the Tuskens a lot more interesting. All of the character designs/makeup is great too. Overall rating for Chapter 2: 5/5 stars.
This is some of the best Star Wars has to offer. I look forward to Chapter 3 and I hope your enjoying the series so far!
