It interesting and engaging for first few episodes. First season is worth watching as it hooked me into having to know what the heck is going on. It had decent character development and some strong imagery. It’s important to suspend belief and forget about reality and logic because much of it would not add up. So go along for the ride…and then DO NOT bother with the 2nd season it’s totally different and not good

This is a compelling, well written and very well acted series. I seldom write reviews but The Old Man deserves some time for kudos. If you are like me and always looking for things to watch but get disappointed by 90% of the hokey shows called "great", then watch this series. It is meaningful, deep and moving. It is well shot and believable in the sense that he is NOT a super hero nor does he act or fight like one. He is strong but vulnerable - he suffers like we all do with the insight and realities that growing old brings...it is not always welcome. We come to the realization that we have lost many of the ones we love the most, we are going to lose the rest and many of the people and events in our life are not at all what we thought. It spells out well that it is not the needing to know answers that makes us neurotic, its the HAVING to know...

How shows like this get made is beyond me. It was boring, made no sense and was pointless. Just sadly formulaic that never went anywhere. They explained almost nothing and it’s emotional components were empty. I want all my hours back!!! I bet the investors want their $ back

the cinematography is amazing...hard to imagine how they filmed some of this. Tremendous compelling story that shows the reality and harshness of war and what awful things we humans do to one another...simply shows that war is hell. At same time it has its tender moments between friends and brothers and real compassion in the harshest of circumstances...always keeping hope alive and enough positive to remember that people can be good and we are worthwhile
