The only thing that ever bothered me about STP's debut was "Sex Type Thing" and how similar the riff was to Danzig's "Snakes of Christ". I resisted the band after what appeared to be a relatively unoriginal sound. In their defense, however; after really paying attention to them, they sound like STP. Not like Pearl Jam. It took a while to warm up to them and eventually they found a place for this ear. "Lounge Fly" was a particular favorite. Upon re-reviewing Tiny Songs, I forgot how many radio hits were there. It's been a while. It stands the test of time. If only Scott Weiland could have stayed sober...
