The Substance feels like another word for Plastic Surgery as it shows what people are willing to go through for youth & the societal beauty standard when realizing how quickly they can be discarded & disregarded from that exact same society solely based off of appearance. The gore we see shows that forcing something like this comes at a price & you can't get a redo on something so permanent. In the end, you're better off before than you are after... 🤷🏾‍♀️
