This book was a huge disappointment and incredibly boring. It might be Grisham's worst ever. He seemingly mailed this one in after he wrote it between breakfast and lunch one day. Half of the book was filler. It was supposed to be a sequel to the Firm. But The Firm never tied in except for pages rehashing parts of that book. I kept waiting for a mobster from The Firm to appear looking for payback. Or any plot twist involving The Firm characters. Maybe it was the mob who lured Mitch to The Caymans? They found his kids in Maine?Kidnap his wife? Nope. Besides references to the old book there was just a visit to an old character that had nothing to do with anything. There was no suspense, no drama, no character in risk, no plot twist or surprises anywhere. Just page after page of unnecessary descriptions on how the money was being raised and then ending exactly as you figured it would after reading the first chapter.
