Title is misleading, very little practical information included in this book. Mostly it's comprised of pretty pictures that look like they were pullled from some art student's sketchpad. There are many good books that go in depth about essential topics relating to the fundamental aspects of civilization such as agriculture, machinery, etc. This book is not one of them, and instead is the equivalent of a picture book for adults. This wouldn't an issue if the art wasn't so mediocre, and unsinspired. So what purpose does it serve? Poor practical value and little artisric merit. If it was $20, it might be an okay purchase for a coffee table, but besides that I just don't see any use.
