I really enjoyed this . 4 *. I took a star off because the animation of the rabbits was sometimes unconvincing. The actors read the parts very well. 3 of the rabbits were played by a black actor, I could hear it in their voices. Peter Capaldi was most excellent as the seagull. I enjoyed hearing the rich range of accents. There was character development and a gripping plot. I got lost in the story and I am sure to watch the next episodes. As far as I recall, it kept to the spirit of the book. There weren't many female parts (well there weren't in the book) but the Black Rabbit was a lady. It passed the BechdelโWallace test, because the does in the hutch talked to each other about freedom. I've kept rabbits and I know they can be fierce and this informs the book, and this animation. Hooray! I loved it.
